I have always heard people saying that a picture is worth a thousand words; but who care about words? As I once saw in a Hitwise sticker: "Data is the new black". For us, web analysts, a chart can be a life saving experience, it can divide the line between success and failure, it can make our lives happier :-)

While browsing my Google Reader this week, I found a very interesting post named What is Japan doing at 2:04pm? and it really grabbed my attention. It describes a survey conducted by the The Japanese Statistics Bureau called "Survey on Time Use and Leisure Activities".

The blogger describes the research in the following way: "This visualization is so compelling, I think, because it allows for deep exploration of rich and interesting data". Take a few minutes to admire the amazing data visualization done by the Japanese bureau.
